27-year-old centre-back from FC Akhmat Grozny Zaurbek Pliyev signed a three-year contract with Dynamo. He became the second newcomer of the White-Blues during this transfer window. Zaurbek is a product of Lev Yashin Dynamo Football Academy.
Pliyev plays as a centre-back, although he can also perform as a left back or even a defensive midfielder. Last season he made 20 appearances (one in the Russian Cup) for Akhmat and was booked five times. Zaurbek played for Russia U-21, for Russia national youth team. Pliyev also made his appearances in the UEFA Europa League qualifying rounds. The player holds Russian and Kazakh citizenships.
