Kirill Novikov was appointed FC Dynamo Moscow interim head coach by the decision of the club's management.
At the moment the White-Blues’ U-21 team leads the Youth Championship under his guidance. Kirill Alexandrovich is a product of Lev Yashin Dynamo Football Academy and the son of Alexander Novikov, the club's appearance record holder.
Since October 8th, Kirill Novikov will combine both coaching positions.

- We thank Kirill Alexandrovich for taking the first team over at a very difficult time for the club. We reached an agreement quickly without any conditions and requirements from Kirill’s side. We will give him full confidence and help in the work. We hope that our fans will support the coach and players in the next important matches. Unfortunately, the previous coaching staff failed to achieve the desired result. Now we have to correct mistakes and move forward, making right conclusions.

- First of all, I would like to thank the club management for confidence and offer. I know well how great the responsibility is I'm taking on. I'm not going to make any discounts on the prefix «interim». My task is to do my job honestly, to reverse the situation making an end to a series of unsuccessful matches. I think there are world-class players in all lines of the squad, with whom we can achieve good results both in concrete matches and over the long distance of the championship. We didn’t start to win immediately with the youth team, and I know what difficulties are associated with the construction of a new team. Our duties will now increase many times. But I am glad to have the opportunity to try myself at the Premier League level. The primary task is to come to a definite understanding with players, to leave all negative moments in the past. We will do all the best to bring new victories to Dynamo fans.
