On Monday, April 11, FC Dynamo Moscow signed the Memorandum on cooperation with Jorge Mendes’ companies – GestiFute International Limited (sports direction) and Polaris Sports Limited (commercial direction).
The Memorandum signing took place at FC Dynamo headquarters in Lesnaya Street. Dynamo Sports Society Chairman Vladimir Pronichev, FC Dynamo General Director Sergey Sysoev, FC Dynamo head coach Andrey Kobelev and other club directors attended this event. The Portuguese party was represented by Jorge Mendes and heads of GestiFute International Limited and Polaris Sports Limited companies.
The Memorandum presupposes the cooperation on a number of directions. First of all, Jorge Mendes’ name is associated with the activity on the transfer market. In particular, the most famous GestiFute International Limited clients are José Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo. However, scouting is only one part of this Memorandum. FC Dynamo Moscow and Jorge Mendes’ companies will cooperate on a range of subjects related to the development of both sports and commercial directions: consultations and expert reviews on squad, potential transfers, practical studies abroad for coaches, including Academy specialists, training sessions and tournaments organization, FC Dynamo brand promotion on European and Asian markets, search for sponsors and so on.

- FC Dynamo has a big experience of cooperation with Jorge Mendes’ companies. There were periods of activation and cooperation suspension. And now we fully realize that we need a well-known partner in Europe that would help our club grow. We are talking not only about the potential newcomers to be invited, but also about the reverse process. Our youth players have to move up through the ranks in order to join the best European clubs. It is very important for the football players. FC Dynamo exists in new economic conditions linked with UEFA Financial Fair Play requirements. We are focusing on the development of our youth players. But we are part of the football world; we plan to invite young, highly motivated and promising football players from abroad. Is Mendes’ name only associated with expensive football stars? First of all, his company has agreements with a variety of players – both successful football stars and talented but not hyped young players. Let us recall Danny, who entered the Portugal national team from Dynamo. Secondly, we're talking about a long-term partnership and not just about the summer transfer window. We have our own development strategy. Next year we return to the reconstructed stadium in Petrovsky Park. The rise of interest for football is expected in the country as we approach 2018 FIFA World Cup. We must be ready to reach the new level. And the agreement with Jorge Mendes’s companies is one of the steps in this direction. Our priority goal is to return to UEFA competitions. FC Dynamo should play at a decent European level.
