The second international break came to an end, and Dynamo players are coming home to Novogorsk.

The goalkeeper as well as the captain of our club Anton Shunin and the left-back Konstantin Rausch joined the national team of Russia which had to play two most important UEFA Nations League matches. On Thursday, October 11th, the Russians faced Sweden in Kaliningrad (0:0). Konstantin Rausch spent 90 minutes on the pitch. He was solid in defence from time to time making dangerous runs forward. Anton Shunin did not take part in the game with the Swedes. Three days later in Sochi, the Russian national team defeated Turkey by 2:0. Throughout this very important match, Russian players did not give any reason to doubt their supremacy and excelled the opponent in all game aspects. However, neither Anton Shunin nor Konstantin Rausch didn’t appear on the pitch. Dynamo masseurs Nikolay Larin and Runis Burkhanov also made a significant contribution to the success of the national team, which are leading confidently their League B Group 2 before two last matchdays.

The centre-back Toni Šunjić was called up to the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, which played an away friendly against Turkey (0:0) in Rize on the 11th of October. The Bosnians’ head coach Robert Prosinečki decided to do without Šunjić in this match, leaving him on the bench. But four days after in Sarajevo, the Balkan team with Toni Šunjić in its squad gained an important victory over Northern Ireland. The hosts scored a goal in each half, and they looked like an unassailable fortress in defence due to Šunjić and his teammates’ actions. As a result, the Bosnians earned a well-deserved leadership in the League B Group 3. Dynamo’s centre-back spent 90 minutes on the pitch in the second match.

However the Lithuanian national team are going wrong despite the endeavor of their captain and key player Fiodor Černych. The Lithuanians played two UEFA Nations League home matches against Romania and Montenegro. On October 11th, Černych spent 87 minutes and left the pitch as the Romanian national team were leading by 2:0. In the absence of the captain Artūras Žulpa managed to score a consolation goal. The Lithuanians were not success in the second match as well. On October 14th, the national team of Montenegro were much better and defeated the host nation by 4:1. The guests took the initiative with a lot of confidence and maintained supremacy until the final whistle. Fiodor Černych spent 49 minutes on the pitch, but did not manage to score any goal or to make any assist.

The training camp of Russia U-20 came to an end in Marbella, Spain. This age group is headed by Mikhail Galaktionov. Four Dynamo players – goalkeeper Ivan Zirikov, centre-back Roman Yevgenyev, midfielders Viktor Demyanov and Danil Lipovoy – were called up under the banner of the U-20s. Our guys had to test themselves against two strong Scandinavian national teams – Denmark (October 10th) and Sweden (October 15th). The first challenge was a failure. The young Russians could not excel either in defence or in attack against the Danes. As a result our national team lost by 0:3. Five days later Russia U-20 held their ground against the Swedes – 1:1.

Finally, three Dynamo players – defenders Bogdan Zorin and Svyatoslav Tses as well as midfielder Vladimir Moskvichyov – received calls to Russia U-19 (footballers born in 2000) which is headed by Andrey Gordeev. The Russians played two away friendlies against their peers from Serbia at the Serbian national team training ground in Stara Pazova. On October 11th, our players tied the game with the hosts (0:0). Moskvichyov spent all 90 minutes on the pitch, Tses played 62 minutes and was replaced by Yevinov. Zorin appeared immediately after the break. Two days later, the venue did not change. Russia U-19 were to face the same opponent. However, the result was completely different, much more optimistic for our youth squad. The Russians got a handle on the course of the match and deserved a confident 3:0 victory. Vladimir Moskvichyov was the only one Dynamo player who joined the starting XI and spent all 90 minutes. Tses and Zorin appeared on the pitch only in the second half, having spent 45 minutes each.
