The second half of March is the traditional time for the first international break in world football schedule. European national teams actively attract Dynamo players to their ranks.
The only one footballer who was called up to the Russian national team under Stanislav Cherchesov’s guidance is Dynamo goalkeeper and captain Anton Shunin. Our national team is preparing for the tough start in the qualifying group I for Euro-2020. In Brussels, on March 21st, the Russians will struggle against Belgium at King Baudouin Stadium (22:45 Moscow time) and on March 24th will face Kazakhstan in Astana (Astana Arena, 17:00 Moscow time). As usual, two Dynamo masseurs Nikolay Larin and Runis Burkhanov – joined the national team of Russia for both training period and official matches.
The central defender Toni Šunjić got a call to the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. His team is to play two home matches at the start of Euro-2020 qualifying tournament: against Armenia (where Dynamo U-21 goalkeeping coach Roman Berezovsky was invited) at Stadion Grbavica (March 23rd, 22:45 Moscow time) in Sarajevo and against Greece at Stadion Bilino polje (March 26th, 22:45 Moscow time) in Zenica.
Dynamo’s attacking midfielder Fiodor Černych was called up to Lithuania national team. The Lithuanians have to play only one official fixture that will be held on the 22nd of March at Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg (22:45 Moscow time). Three days later, Valdas Urbonas’ guys will face Azerbaijan in a friendly match.
As for Russia U-21, which is now headed by Dynamo Lev Yashin Academy former coach Mikhail Galaktionov, this team got in its ranks two Dynamo players – Roman Yevgenyev and Vyacheslav Grulyov. Young Russians will have a training camp in Marbella (Spain) where they will play against their peers from Sweden and Norway.
Four Dynamo U-21 footballers – Maxim Danilin, Igor Shkolik, Andrey Mazurin and Pyotr Kudakovskiy were invited to Russia U-18 national team (players born in 2001) under Alexander Kerzhakov’s guidance. This team will participate in the international tournament SportChain UAE 2019 in the United Arab Emirates.
Finally, midfielders Ilya Gomanyuk and Vladimir Moskvichyov joined Russia U-19 (players born in 2000). Andrey Gordeev's boys will take part in the Elite round of the 2019 European Championship, which will be held in Krasnodar from the 19th to the 27th of March.
We remind you that Dynamo will face defending champions from Lokomotiv during the next RPL fixture that is to be played on the 30th of March.
