April 14, Thursday – the White-Blues held the first training session on the new pitch which is second to none in Russia. The contractor used the modern technology that finally reached our country, but in Europe, the method has been popular for several years. The pitch of the same characteristics is installed, in particular, at the Real Madrid CF training ground, as well as the majority of prominent clubs in Italy.
This method consists of combining the artificial turf with the natural one. The pitch sewing system with synthetic fibers is used at the Arena Khimki Stadium. At the FC Dynamo training centre the structure of the pitch represents a multi-layered «pie».
- First of all, we installed hot air pipes, than we put a crushed stone layer, then a 10-centimeter root layer with soil and sand, then the artificial tapetal layer is provided with 4-centimeter threads. This tapetal layer is filled up with two centimeters of sand, and then seeds are set into it, - explains Andrey Zotov, the Head Groundsman of the FC Dynamo training centre. – As a result we got actually a natural field, which gets less damaged due to the retentive synthetic tapetal layer.
The arrangement works on the new field began last summer. In autumn it was seeded and by mid-April the grass was already big enough to be used. The natural component should constitute about 95 percent.
The pitch problem in Novogorsk that periodically emerged in recent years is completely solved now. One of the three fields at the training ground is an artificial one. The U21 team and Lev Yashin Academy trainees use this last generation field during their training sessions. The exploitation term for one of the two remaining pitches came gradually to the end. That’s why since last summer we have been using only one field, which is serious overloaded now given the weather conditions of our climatic zone.
Nowadays we get another field that is able to withstand two training sessions a day. As the alternative, the natural grass of the second pitch is always at hand of the main team. The employees of the training ground promise to bring this field to normal conditions within 2-3 weeks.

- I would like to thank the club management for this field. We find it necessary for the team needs. The quality of the training sessions decreases inevitably on the bad pitch, because it is impossible to do all the exercises ideally. You could see that the guys trained in high spirits today. It is a pleasure to go out on the new field.
