Today, 2018/19 Olimp-Russian Cup round of 16 draw was held in the FUR office in Narodnaya Street. According to the draw, FC Dynamo Moscow will face FC Rubin Kazan in the round of 16. At the previous stage our football club won a derby against Torpedo by 1:0. In turn, Rubin defeated FC Khimki only after extra time (1:0). As the result of the draw, FC Dynamo have to travel to Kazan in order to play against the Tatar side at Kazan Arena.
In the Russian Cup history two teams met each other only once, when they both reached the final in 2012. That match took place in Yekaterinburg and the Red-Greens celebrated the victory by 1:0.
The winner of Rubin vs Dynamo will meet the winner of Lokomotiv vs Yenisey (this match will take place in Cherkizovo) in the Olimp-Russian Cup quarter-finals.
