Dynamo Moscow head coach Dmitry Khokhlov commented on the signing of the Russian international Roman Neustädter:
- We saw two defensive midfielders – Samba Sow and Abdul Aziz Tetteh – leave the club recently. Of course, a player was needed on this position, and we are glad that Roman Neustädter joined us. It is important that in addition to his vast experience of playing for solid European clubs and at the highest level, he holds the Russian citizenship and will not be considered an international football player. We don't forget about the limit that exists in our championship. In recent years Neustädter played in defense, but we build on his skills as a defensive midfielder and we count on him in this role.
